gridIMP is a tech start-up focusing on solving the challenges of a flexible energy grid. We develop machine learning based system that runs on our gridIMP Hub, a low energy ARM powered machine with Cortex processing. The Hub interfaces with IoT sensors to deliver automated energy control, including DSR (Demand Side Response) in commercial premises.
Having secured a government innovation award, gridIMP is looking for a talented software developer to join our development team on a full-time basis. Most of the work will be in Java and C++.
You will be working on developing our new energy monitoring and control system. Our development is organized into three areas, Sensors and Controls, Machine Learning and Cloud Software.
We offer flexible working hours and operate from our office in Bridgwater just off the M5, remote work opportunities available.
We are looking for developers who are passionate about programming and who have a deep understanding of computing. These qualities are considered more important than knowledge of specific programming languages or technologies.
A at A-Level in Maths and/or Physics. 2.1 Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Physics, Maths or equivalent.
No commercial experience necessary.
