Gridimp goes international

With more than twice as many electrical power cuts in 2022 than in any other year and periods of up to 12 hours of black outs a day, the need for a solution has never been greater.

By introducing Gridimp’s AI technology we automate the control of plant & equipment to form smart micro grids that minimise the impact of black outs. By ensuring local energy is generated & storage discharged to cover blackout periods and that the right plant is turned down or off during load shedding periods we maximise resilience.  Importantly it also means protecting equipment when the grid comes back on.

These installations, supported by Innovate UK Energy Catalyst (an Innovate UK programme), will allow us to help a number of sites.  We are also delighted to have sites provided by Hessequa Municipality, demonstrating their commitment to lead the way in looking at new solutions to solve the energy challenges faced across the region.

Our first shipment of AI technologies has arrived in Cape Town and we are looking forward to building on our partnership with GreenSun Renewable Energy.
